Happy Birthday!

it seems like yesterday when darren was born. with just a blink of eye, today the little baby is celebrating his first birthday, how fast he has grown.

we actually had the birthday celebration yesterday, 1 day earlier. it was a simple dinner with all the 16 family members at a home based restaurant. knowing that darren is a fish lover, nai nai and yeh yeh specially bought 2 fresh pomfrets from the fisherman market and brought there to cook for their first grandson. besides the fish, we had oatmeal prawn, chili crab, black pepper crab, sweet sour pork in yam ring, claypot tofu, vege & etc. the food are very delicious and surprisingly cheap, less than RM200 for 10 dishes we ordered

we shifted to nai nai's place for cake cutting after the dinner. darren's first birthday cake is a customised 2 kg sponge cake with all the 6 characters of "in the night garden" hand-drawn on it. this is so unique and i don't think you can get another one in the world. suzanne jie jie, also super fan of ITNG, loves the cake very much and as if it is her birthday

birthday song time...

with loud vocal of suzanne and rachel jie jie plus darren's acoustic sound effect, the birthday song became rock and roll version *-)

suzanne jie jie insisted on the portion with upsy daisy face, she wanted to finish that chunk of cake at her own, no one is allowed to touch a single inch

finally darren had a chance to take picture with busy daddy (who purposely wear a polo shirt with no.1 on his chest)...
